Northrop Grumman — Autonomous Systems

Stratos Aeronautics partnered with Northrop Grumman on the development of hardware platforms supporting autonomous and unmanned systems. The project centered on integrating advanced sensor systems and control hardware into compact, efficient packages suitable for next-generation unmanned aerial vehicles (UAVs). The systems developed include real-time environmental sensing modules, onboard processing units, and communication interfaces capable of operating in contested or signal-limited environments. Redundant systems ensure continuous operation even in the presence of signal disruption or damage. A key focus was reducing system weight and power consumption while maintaining high computational performance. Custom hardware solutions enable rapid decision-making and autonomous navigation capabilities critical to modern unmanned systems. This collaboration supports the advancement of autonomous technology in both defense and reconnaissance applications, pushing the boundaries of unmanned operational capabilities.
